Homestead scored six times in the first inning, and got production throughout the lineup in its 10-5 win over Saint Francis on Friday afternoon.
Mustangs' pitcher Brittany Prock picked up the complete game win, scattering just four hits, allowing two earned runs while striking out nine in the victory. She retired the side in order to start the game in the top of the first, which set the tone for the Homestead lineup in the bottom of the first.
The Mustangs scored four times with one out in the bottom half, and Julie Davis' RBI single with two outs - her second hit of the inning - capped the six-run outburst.
Davis, Michelle Liu, Elena Murray, and Meghan Hook each had two hits for Homestead. The St. Francis lineup was highlighted by Hannah Damore, who had two hits and all five RBI, including a three-run homer with two outs in the top of the seventh inning.
