Menlo boys' lacrosse has had its share of close games and Tuesday was no different. The Knights, whose last four games have been decided by two or fewer goals, shook off Foothill-Pleasanton, 15-13, in a non-league game at home.
The Knights (3-3) got a big performance from senior Jack McNally, who recorded 15 saves. Juniors David Schmaier and Silas Stewart each collected four goals. Freshman Samson Axe scored twice and added two assists.
Menlo led the ground ball controls with sophomore Conor McCusker picking up seven. McCuskar also held a 15-10 face-off advantage while freshman Finn Leschly won all five of his face-offs.
Menlo next plays host to De La Salle on Tuesday, April 4.
