PALO ALTO, CA - Mercy-Burlingame stayed unbeaten in WBAL-Skyline action on Thursday afternoon, blanking Castilleja-Palo Alto, 3-0.
Freshman Elizabeth Bermudez had a goal and an assist in the win for the Crusaders (12-4, 8-0), while senior Sara Bermudez and sophomore Isabel Bojorquez each added goals. Junior keeper Genevieve Flieder needed to make just two saves to preserve the clean sheet.
With the victory, Mercy now has a two-game lead over both Castilleja (7-2, 5-2) and Harker.
The Crusaders are back in action on Tuesday, facing Notre Dame-San Jose at Skyline College. Castilleja is right back at it on Friday, with the Gators facing Eastside College Prep, at El Camino Park in Palo Alto.
