Heritage knocks off Campolindo

December 18, 2018

Host Heritage took a one-goal lead into the half against visiting Campolindo, and emerged victorious by the same margin, beating the Cougars 2-1 in non-league girls soccer action on Tuesday evening.

The Patriots got goals from sophomore Sami Wilson and freshman Makeila Yancey, along with assists from senior Katey Hartwig and freshman Tiana LaFleur, which was enough to hand Campolindo its first loss in four matches.

Heritage improved to 2-0-1 with the win, and hit the field this Thursday in the opener of the Tri-Valley Classic, facing San Ramon Valley. Campolindo fell to 2-3-2 with the loss, and heads to James Logan on Thursday for a non-league match.
