ROSS, CALIF - Whether Branson's one-goal defeat to Marin Catholic turns out to be a fluke or not remains to be seen, but the Bulls are once again back to their usual high level of play, as they punctuated an unbeaten week with a 5-0 win over Novato on Saturday afternoon.
Junior Abby Dillon notched a hat trick for Branson, while junior Eliana Prosnitz assisted on a pair of goals, as the Bulls led 2-0 at the half and put the game far out of reach over the final 40 minutes.
Sophomore Caitlin Evers also put one in the back of the net for Branson, and junior keeper Sydney Wishner had no trouble preserving the clean sheet.
Branson improved to 11-1-1 overall this season, 8-1-1 in the MCAL, currently residing in first place. The Bulls host second-place Redwood on Wednesday afternoon. The teams played to a draw back in early December.
