Host Lincoln trailed by two points after one quarter, but reeled off 30 points over the next 24 minutes to pull away from visiting Independence, eventually handing the 76ers a 37-8 defeat.
The Lions again relied on their multi-headed rushing attack, led by senior Adam Arenas, who gathered 133 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries. Sophomore Epoki Fakaosi added 109 yards on 11 carries, while junior Gavin Somerville also found his rhythm at quarterback.
Somerville completed 6-of-11 passes for 171 yards and two touchdowns in the win, with both scoring passes going to junior Alex VonAppen, who totaled 104 yards on his two catches.
Lincoln recovered from its early deficit to lead 8-2 at halftime, but did not truly put Independence away until a 22-point outburst in the third quarter.
Lincoln improved to 4-2 overall, 3-1 in the Mount Hamilton with the win, while Independence fell to 0-7, 0-4. The Lions play at Santa Teresa next Friday, while the 76ers seek their first win of the season at Piedmont Hills.
