Freedom boys soccer dominates Arroyo

December 19, 2019

Three first-half goals propelled Freedom to its fifth victory of the season on Wednesday, as the Falcons eventually blanked Arroyo, 5-0, in a non-league match.

Eduardo Navarro scored twice for the host team, which plays at Castro Valley in the Tri-Valley Challenge this Saturday. Jacob Lepore, Alberto Padilla and Ozzie De La Cruz each added goals as Freedom easily cruised past the Dons, who are winless in five games this year. Padilla leads the team with eight goals this season.

The victory got Freedom back on track after a loss to Clayton Valley on Monday, a defeat which had snapped an impressive three-game win streak.

This Saturday will be the final game of the Tri-Valley Challenge for the Falcons, who split their first two games in the tournament, losing to San Ramon Valley but easily handling Amador Valley.
