January 15, 2020

The Los Gatos offense made life easy on freshman keeper Sahara Melinauskas on Wednesday evening, giving her plenty of support at the other end during a 6-0 SCVAL-De Anza victory over Homestead.

Junior Emily Nedom had a brace for the Wildcats, who had five different players put a ball in the net during the win. Senior Kelli Keady had a goal and two assists, while junior Lauren Pederson also had a pair of assists. Seniors Lainey Engles, Sophia Hawk and Isabella Scott each had individual goals for Los Gatos.

Los Gatos improved to 8-0-2 overall and 3-0 in league play with the win, and heads to perennial power Mountain View on Friday. Homestead fell to 6-3-3, 2-1-1 with the loss and will host Palo Alto on Friday afternoon.
