Prospect made a first-half goal stand up and held on for a 1-0 win at Sobrato Monday afternoon in a Blossom Valley Athletic League Santa Teresa Division boys soccer match.
The Panthers (6-7-1, 5-4-0, 15 points, BVAL-ST) kept their CCS playoff hopes alive with the victory as they pulled to within four points of second place Leland (7-6-1, 6-2-1, 19). The top two teams in the BVAL-ST receive automatic bids to the CCS playoffs.
