Overfelt rallied for two runs in the top of the seventh and held on for a 4-3 win over host Sobrato in a non-league baseball game Thursday afternoon. The Royals, who are in first place in the Blossom Valley Athletic League Santa Teresa "B" Division, improved to 10-7 overall with the win over the Bulldogs (6-10), who represent the BVAL Mount Hamilton "A" Division.
Sophomore Adam Park (2-for-4, stolen base) capped the winning rally with a two-out RBI single to give the Royals a 4-3 lead. Sophomore Alex Tirado (3-0) shut Sobrato down over the final two innings to pick up the victory in relief of starter Adam Romayor, who went the first five innings.
Junior Alejandro Torres went 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Bulldogs, who visit Morgan Hill rival Live Oak Saturday afternoon. Overfelt gets back into BVAL-ST action with a visit to Evergreen Valley Tuesday afternoon (4 pm).
