SAN JOSE - Sobrato got a first half goal on Friday from senior Cami Santana, and that was enough for the Bulldogs to stay unbeaten with a 1-0 win over Leland.
Senior Emily Pfefferlen notched her second assist of the season, distributing the ball to Santana for the game-winning goal, as Sobrato improved to 4-0-3, 1-0-1 in Mt. Hamilton play. Junior keeper Holly Rottenborn posted six saves to preserve both the clean sheet and the victory.
The goal was Santana's second of the season, and her first game-winner. Her first goal of the year was the second-half equalizer during a 2-1 win over Santa Cruz back in mid-December.
Sobrato returns to action on January 9, at Piedmont Hills. The Pirates dominated Branham on Friday, 6-0, to improve to 2-0 in league play.
Leland (1-3-2, 0-1-1) looks to get back on the winning track against Branham on January 9.
