Dublin remains perfect in EBAL with win over San Ramon

January 27, 2018

An 0-5 mark in East Bay Athletic League left San Ramon Valley hungry for a taste of victory; however EBAL front runners Dublin, and their four star recruit sophomore superstar Robby Beasley led the way with 23 points on the way to a 84-68 victory on Tuesday night.

San Ramon looked up to the task of upsetting Dublin, continually breaking down Dublin’s full court press, leading to easy buckets on the other end and a 13-11 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Dublin came out of the gate looking like how the Golden State Warriors play against inferior teams, sloppy, undisciplined, and relying solely on their natural ability to overcome their hesitancy to play as an organized and cohesive team.

Dublin regrouped in the second quarter, coming together as a defensive unit and limiting San Ramon to only 10 points, while Robby Beasley and Connor Jackson combined for 14 of Dublin’s 24 points.

The complete 180 was fueled by a well organized full court press which led to multiple San Ramon turnovers and easy transition layups on the other end.

The 3rd quarter showed the resilience of San Ramon, as they went blow for blow with Dublin, putting up 25 points to Dublin’s 27.

Sophomore shooting guard Sebastian Scott showed out in the third with seven points, and backup point guard, senior Clark Baker, filling in for senior Jackson Pearce, contributed 5 points of his own.

However it was the Robby Beasley show in the 3rd quarter, showing off his four star talent and then some with 9 points and excellent defense on the other end to propel Dublin to a 62-48 advantage into the fourth quarter.

The 4th quarter was another back and forth scoring affair, with Dublin earning a 22-20 advantage over San Ramon to wrap up their victory.
