SAN JOSE - Silver Creek's Clarissa Ramirez scattered seven hits on Monday afternoon, and the Raiders spoiled a strong outing from Evergreen Valley's Alisha Dhar, winning 1-0.
Dhar allowed just two hits and struck out seven, but ran into trouble in the bottom of the fifth inning, after Adrianna Noriega reached on a one-out ground ball to shortstop, which resulted in an error. Dhar walked the next two batters to load the bases - two of the five walks she issued during the game - and Noriega scored the eventual game-winning run on a passed ball. Dhar settled back down with a strikeout and pop up to get out of the game, but the damage had been done.
Ramirez did allow seven hits, but did not issue any walks, and only one time - in the first inning - did she allow a runner to get to third base. She allowed just one base runner in the final three innings.
Amaya Romero had two of Evergreen Valley's seven hits in the loss.
