Radu leads Redwood past San Domenico

November 25, 2018

Senior Brandon Radu took control for Redwood in its non-league game with San Domenico on Saturday, scoring a game-high 23 points to pace the Giants' 72-52 victory at home.

The Giants (1-0) led by 18 points at the half, and their defense did a good job keeping San Domenico standout Cash Fulton in check. Fulton finished with a team-high 20 points for the Panthers (0-1), but eight of those points came from the free-throw line. Meanwhile, Radu came up with seven steals and Redwood shot the ball beyond the arc, drilling nine three-pointers.

Jake Mathews, Matt Shippey and Callaway Allen each hit a pair of shots from beyond the three-point line, while senior Chance Farrell-Martin made his presence felt without scoring a point, chipping in with 10 assists and four steals.

Redwood hosts San Marin in its MCAL opener on Tuesday night, while San Domenico looks to bounce back at home against Sonoma Academy on Tuesday night.
