St. Mary’s College High in Albany is seeking a new girls’ basketball coach, said athletic director Greg Kelly.
Former coach Nate Fripp took another job right before the 2015-2016 season started and Sam Sims, an assistant coach, became the interim head coach.
Now the job has been opened and Kelly said all assistants are invited to apply.
Said Kelly via email: “Because of our past program success, we feel it is always best to open the job up to anyone interested. We did the same thing with our men's program two years ago. As a result, we hired one of the best coaches in the east bay, Craig Battle. We hope to hire a coach by May 15."
