Day one recap from Windsor Holiday Shootout

December 28, 2017

Host Windsor had no trouble with Analy in the fourth and final game of the Windsor Holiday Shootout quarterfinals, as the Jaguars rolled to the 50-28 victory on Thursday night.

The Jaguars led 27-7 at halftime against the Tigers, as senior Riley Smith was dominant on both ends of the court. The 6-foot-7 forward drilled a pair of three-pointers early, while he and twin tower Justin Smith cleaned the glass, combining for nine rebounds in the first two quarters. Travis Carlozzi also got off to a hot start for Windsor, scoring five of his 11 points in the first quarter.

Junior JJ Fain had a game-high 14 points for Analy.

Fortuna was another big winner on the opening night, cruising to the 65-52 win over Novato. Junior Rishi Nachnani had 16 points for Novato, including a trio of three-pointers in the fourth quarter, but it was not enough for a comeback.
