Hillsdale senior Jaxon Skidmore and Sacred Heart Prep senior Angelo Tonas brought home the top two baseball awards for the Peninsula Athletic League's Bay Division, while the coaches of those two schools were also honored.
Hillsdale coach James Madison and SHP coach Anthony Granato were honored as co-Coaches of the Year in the division, while Skidmore was named Player of the Year and Tonas was named Pitcher of the Year. Skidmore hit .406 for the Fighting Knights, who finished tied for second in the division, one game behind Sacred Heart Prep. He was also 5-1 with a 1.62 ERA, striking out 51 batters in 43 innings pitched.
The Georgetown-bound Tonas had a 1.50 ERA for the league-champion Gators, striking out 80 batters in 74 innings pitched.
