After an unbeaten run through the regular season, and a series of dominating performances throughout league play, it was no surprise that the top individual honors given out by the football coaches of the Diablo Athletic League's Valley Division both went to Las Lomas players.
Junior running back Isaiah Newell was named Offensive MVP for the division, while senior outside linebacker Amjad Qoubaitary earned Defensive MVP honors. Newell ran for 2,166 yards and 31 touchdowns this season, averaging just over 10 yards per carry, and added over 300 yards receiving. Qoubaitary was a force off the edge for the Knights, racking up 25 sacks.
