PALO ALTO, CA – Central Coast Section Division II No. 10 seed and host Gunn (8-16) earned the right to move on in the playoffs with a 68-28 victory over Yerba Buena-San Jose.
Evan Dray led three Gunn double-figure scorers with 14 points. Nik Olsson added 13 points and Evan Carefoot chipped in with 11 points.
Yerba Buena (13-12) got a game-high 16 points from Paul Heng.
Gunn now meets No. 7 seed Aragon on Saturday in San Mateo in the second round.
