The newest member of the East Bay Athletic League will host a pair of teams from the West Alameda County Conference on Friday evening, when Clayton Valley welcomes Hayward and San Leandro for their opening scrimmage.
All three teams posted winning records in 2018, with Clayton Valley winning the Diablo Athletic League's Foothill Division while Hayward grabbed a share of the WACC-Shoreline title. San Leandro finished second behind Bishop O'Dowd in the WACC-Foothill Division.
Each team will feature key returners in the backfield, including Clayton Valley's Makhi Gervais, San Leandro's Osaro Aihie and Hayward's Reggie Garrett.
The varsity action is set to kick off at 7 pm.
