Jackson headlines All-BVAL baseball team

May 28, 2019

Heritage junior Ryan Jackson was named Most Valuable Player of the Bay Valley Athletic League, as recently announced by the league.

Jackson hit .582 with 28 RBIs for the Patriots, leading them to back-to-back league titles and the program's first-ever appearance in the North Coast Section Division I championship game. He also went 4-0 with a 0.76 ERA in seven starts on the mound, before arm problems limited his innings late in the season. He did pitch scoreless innings in the first round and semifinals of the section playoffs, and wound up with 55 strikeouts in 36 innings pitched.
