- The mission of Prep2Prep is to provide opportunities for students interested in journalism to cover high school sports at their own and at neighboring schools. Since our inception, hundreds of students have gone through our program and wound up at some of the finest universities in the nation.

CCS Baseball Division 5 Recap: Burton leads Capuchino to championship

Senior Ryan Burton tossed a three-hit shutout to lead Capuchino to a 1-0 victory over Santa Cruz for the CCS Division 5 championship last Thursday afternoon at Excite Ballpark. Junior Anakin Manuel knocked in the only run in the game in the sixth with a single to score junior Lucas Zayac, who finished with two hits. Burton struck out only two but didn’t walk anybody and the Mustangs played flawless defense behind him to preserve the shutout. [read more]
