Pacific Grove clinched an outright Mission Trail Athletic League title on Monday, defeating Soledad 4-0, prompting a happy, post-game dog pile by the Breakers (24-0 overall,15-0 league).
Conyal Cody pitched a one-hitter for Pacific Grove against the second-place Aztecs.
Cody also shined at the plate for Pacific Grove with two doubles and two runs batted in and teammate Dan Burchinger had a double and drove in a run.
Heading into Wednesday's game at Robert Louis Stevenson, Pacific Grove has won 31 consecutive games dating back to 2012.
Andy Sanchez pitched a complete game for Soledad (20-4, 11-4). Aaron Rivera had Soledad's only hit.
