BURLINGAME - Sophomore Megan Tinsley scored once in each half, leading Sacred Heart Prep to the 2-0 victory on the road over Mercy, Tuesday afternoon.
Tinsley was assisted on both goals by Juliana Rosen, as the Gators shook off a two-game skid, improving to 7-5-5, 2-4-2 in the WBAL. SHP and the Crusaders had tied in their first meeting this season, but the Gators got off 10 shots on goals in Tuesday's victory, forcing Mercy keeper Genevieve Flieder to make eight saves in the losing effort.
Sacred Heart Prep heads to first-place Menlo on Friday, while Mercy (6-6-4, 2-4-2) plays at Notre Dame-Belmont on Thursday.
