Kevin Warren has chosen to continue his education and basketball career at Cal State Monterey Bay and his reasons are many.
“I chose the school because I will be able to compete for minutes right away,” said the graduating St. Mary’s-Albany High guard. “It’s not too far from home and the coaching staff really made me feel comfortable..Also they have had recent success and the players that are there now are hard workers. The recruiting class that is coming in with me is stacked.”
The St. Mary’s and Oakland Rebel star averaged more than 20 points per game this season for the Panthers.
“I’m working on my decision making and becoming more explosive,” Warren said. “(I’m) also still working on my shooting and offensive skill set and not becoming complacent with where I’m at.”
Warren has plenty of pluses, that’s for sure.
“My strengths are playing hard and being able to score in a multitude of ways,” he said. “I can shoot it from anywhere and I can get others involved as well. Also I’m long on the defensive end and get steals and deflections which help me score in transition.”
The Otters went 12-8 last season
