University of Denver commit Quinn Marquez was named Most Valuable Player for the East Bay Athletic League in lacrosse this spring, after leading San Ramon Valley to an unbeaten mark in league play during the regular season and an overall mark of 18-2. The all-league team runs deep with top-end talent, including first-team selections from North Coast Section champion De La Salle, which was represented on the first-team by midfielder Trenton Wheeler and defender Gabe Vesneski. The team also included dual-sport standouts Lucas Heverly and Cal Ewanich from Amador Valley, who both shined for the Dons' football team in the fall. Ewanich, a junior, had 65 goals for Amador Valley this spring. The same goes for the pair of first-team selections from Monte Vista, Kyle Haener and Matt Prochaska, who were also both standouts on the gridiron for the Mustangs.
