Palo Alto too much for Carlmont

Palo Alto defeated host Carlmont 7-2 on Saturday in a non-league game.

The Vikings led 2-1 entering the seventh inning when they erupted for five runs to blow the game open.

Owen Plambeck hit two home runs for Palo Alto and drove in three runs and Phil Lewis and Anthony Lim each had two hits for the Vikings. Paly's Bowen Gerould contributed a double and two RBI. Kyle Barret had three hits for Carlmont.

Palo Alto (3-4) out-hit the Scots (4-2-1) 10-7.

Isaac Kasevich got the win for Paly in relief, while Matt Seubert was tagged with the loss for Carlmont, dropping to 1-1 on the season - though he only trailed by one entering the seventh.

Seubert threw 6 1/3 innings for the Scots, giving up five runs (four earned) on six hits. He struck out 10 and walked

one.

Carlmont next hosts Kalani (Oahu, Hawaii) High at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
