Sam Manu has left his post as the Aragon High boys’ basketball coach to become the Aragon girls’ coach, Manu said.
“My daughter is coming up and I looked at my schedule and saw that if I stayed as the boys’ coach I would hardly ever see her play.”
Lydia Manu is entering Aragon as a freshman in the fall.
The Aragon girls went 9-15 last season under former coach Annette Gennaro.
Aragon has picked Hosea Patton to coach the Aragon varsity boys’ team, Manu said. Patton is the former Aragon junior varsity coach.
