The Santa Clara Valley Athletic League released its all-league teams for boys basketball, for the De Anza and El Camino divisions. Palo Alto and Mountain View both saw players take home the top awards in their respective divisions after successful seasons on the hardwood.
Palo Alto guard Miles Tention was named MVP of the De Anza Division, after serving as the ultimate floor general for the Vikings, who advanced to the CIF NorCal Division 1 regional championship game, after beating league rival Los Gatos in the CCS Division 1 title game. Tention was a threat as both a scorer and distributor, plus a defender on the perimeter.
Mountain View's Eugene Liao was named MVP of the El Camino Division, after averaging 16.7 points and 6.5 rebounds per game for the Spartans, who beat Valley Christian for the CCS Division 2 title.
