The Bay Valley Athletic League released its all-league baseball team for the 2017 spring season.
After leading his team to a league title, Freedom's Seth Salter was named the Most Valuable Player. Salter went 7-3 on the mound, with a 1.14 ERA. Opposing hitters hit just .206 against Salter this season. At the plate, Salter compiled a .383 batting average with eight doubles, 15 RBI, and nine stolen bases.
Freedom beat Foothill in the first round of the Division I playoffs before falling to Monte Vista in the quarterfinals.
