Mater Dei, the top team in California with a 10-0 record and first in the Prep2Prep Top 25, sits at the top of the seedings at No. 1. Below the Monarchs are the Huskies from Corona Centennial, which are unblemished in state play. Mater Dei hosts 16th-seed Tesoro, while Centennial will face JSerra Catholic.

St. John Bosco, which lost just twice to Las Vegas Bishop Gorman and Mater Dei, faces Upland, while fourth-seed Mission Viejo puts its undefeated mark on the line against Trinity League member Servite, which enters the playoffs as an at-large selection. Chaminade will face Long Beach Poly, which is hot entering the playoffs, reeling off seven straight victories after starting the season 0-3.

Gardena Serra, also a team with plenty of momentum, will face Santa Margarita, which finished the season with a 6-4 mark. Undefeated Rancho Cucamonga will play host to Orange Lutheran, another at-large bid. Bishop Amat rounds out the bracket by facing Vista Murrieta, and with a win will likely face Mater Dei, which defeated the Lancers in a blowout in Week 1.

A rematch of the thrilling St. John Bosco-Mater Dei game would only be possible in the division final on Dec. 2, and the Braves will first have to get past a bottom half of the bracket that features plenty of great competition in Centennial, Chaminade, Long Beach Poly and Serra, among others.
